The first new art museum in the Downtown Manhattan

The New museum of contemporary art in an old industrial Downtown Manhattan, NY, has been building since last fall according to plans of Tokyo based architects Sejima+Nishizawa/Sanaa. Minimalistic, neutral 7-storeys container is contradistinguished from neighbourhood, however concept of division and stacking issues to little lofts, aborigine incident at that place. The building contains some good proportioned galleries, a theater, an education rooms, services and roof terrace and more others.
